A restrained palette of walnut and black veneers has been composed into a linear pattern of blades and boxes, to contrast with each other as natural materials do in the bush setting. Off form concrete blades form a basis for the arrangement of the kitchen. The island bench sits under the concrete blades with the back bench framed by taller contrasting veneered elements. This connects the scullery which is well hidden. A pendant light fitting, custom designed for the project reflects twisted timbers in nature.

This project saw us renovate a 1980's East Perth apartment. We stripped the apartment back to bare bones, leaving only a few structural walls. It was important the compact apartment had a level of sophistication, meeting the function and style of a luxurious kitchen. The client wanted a fresh start after moving from the family home of 20 years. The brief was a light filled, bright functional and luxurious kitchen. The kitchen needed to cater for her large Italian family gatherings on a weekly basis.

This stunning home in the leafy suburb of Mt Lawley is the perfect example of a contemporary renovation which fits seamlessly with the existing architecture of a heritage listed home.
The perfect mix of some traditional elements like marble look tops, shaker doors, brass fittings and subways tiles were carefully selected with a more modern spin to breathe new life, without contrasting too starkly with the original home.
Clever design elements like concealed laundry hampers and ironing board, hanging rail, ceiling mounted clothes drying rack, mud area, plus the addition of maximum storage, has created a well-designed laundry which was more serviceable for the family to use.
The outcome was an elegant and highly functional space, which our clients love and we were proud to deliver for them.

The residential project in question caters to a family of four, including two teenage children. Located in Nedlands, the house is a newly constructed, architecturally designed abode. While the interior design remains incomplete, it's important to note that the windows and doors are fixed and cannot be altered. The project requires the installation of kitchen fixtures and white goods, along with kitchen and dining cabinetry. The high-end budget allows for the utilisation of premium, high-quality products, with an estimated budget of $150,000. The design aims to create a modern contemporary aesthetic while incorporating design principles and elements that culminate in a peaceful, harmonious environment.

This stunning kitchen within the Lux Interiors showroom is a true reflection of the brand's commitment to innovation and luxury in design. The custom cabinetry arching over the curved carrara stone rangehood creates a beautiful focal point within the kitchen with the smaller arches either side adding balance. This meticulous attention to detail is not just limited to aesthetics but extends to the functionality of the kitchen. With its carefully considered layout and premium appliances, this space embodies the Lux Interior's dedication to both innovation and luxury in every aspect of design.

A tired warehouse conversion demanded a substantial renovation along with clever spatial planning to align with the preferences and lifestyle of our new clients. Adding an extra layer of luxury and meticulous attention to detail was important and was integrated through the use of luxurious materials such as the Patagonia quartzite on the kitchen island. The renovation focused on crafting spaces tailored for social family events, with a keen emphasis on clever storage solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients today and in the future years to come.
The brief for the kitchen in this home was to be large, spacious, functional with plenty of clear bench space, and to serve as a social hub.
Dark Perugian walnut cabinetry with Dekton stonetops and splashback create a bold yet calm aesthetic, with the feature battening to the cabinetry beneath the breakfast bar continuing a language throughout the home. An integrated Sub Zero fridge and freezer perfectly cater to the needs of our client’s lifestyle.

The perfect mix of some traditional elements like marble look tops, shaker doors, brass fittings and mesh doors were carefully selected with a more modern spin to breathe new life, without contrasting too starkly with the original home.
Clever design elements like hidden appliances, bins, oil pullouts, concealed appliance cupboards, plus the addition of maximum storage, have created a well-designed kitchen which was more serviceable for the family to use.
The outcome was an elegant and highly functional space, which our clients love and we were proud to deliver for them.
In 2021, my clients purchased their dream riverside location. Although the Mediterranean-style home had some charming architectural features, the materials were dated and eclectic. The layout also lacked functionality for the growing family. The overall interior style at concept development was refined to Modern Parisian with an edge of farmhouse. Materiality was selected to create the perfect balance between rustic and sophisticated elegance and classic and contemporary with a palette of deep brown, chalky whites, plum and bronze accents. Bayonne was born!
The renovation focused on elevating the home to meet the standards befitting its location, whilst incorporating our client’s passion for all things mid-century. Our aim was to transform the kitchen into a statement piece, ensuring it exuded timelessness while staying true to the mid-century style. To achieve this, natural timber was carefully chosen to capture the desired colour variation, and terrazzo replaced the flooring in both the kitchen and scullery. This decision defined the kitchen within its adjoining spaces and added a distinctive touch, effectively breaking up the timber finishes.
The client wanted to create a dramatic bachelor pad with a bold, monochromatic colour palette. He wanted black concrete floors, tiles, stone tops and cabinetry. I thought this would be a challenge to create a kitchen that still had the warmth I like to bring to all of my work.
The client is of Italian heritage and loves to cook! He wanted his kitchen to be an experience, a space for him to be able to share his passion for cooking, while entertaining his guests and family.
Traditional pairings of fresh whites, marbles and glass are delicately detailed within the design, modernising the home’s interior. Lacquered chalky slabbed fronts surrounded by marbled benches and splashbacks, the introduction of curves to the isolated hood and island centre piece and depth injected with deep navy to create a monochrome palette. Warmth is then allowed in by brass hardware, reeded glass, a play on texture with tiles and warmly lit surfaces. Now a cook’s kitchen.

The client wanted a fresh start after moving from the family home of 20 years. The brief was a light filled, bright functional and luxurious kitchen. The kitchen needed to cater for her large Italian family gatherings on a weekly basis.
The client's brief was to create a nostalgic visual to work back warmly with the exterior of the home and the age of the surrounding suburb. As the space was compact, integration was key in addition to the importance of clever storage and functionality as was the choice to limit materials. This allowed the entire open space to be harmonious, allowing the simplicity, style and sustainability to be forefront without losing any functionality.
The kitchen forms part of the main dining and living area in an open plan format, which in turn also opens directly into the large, double volume alfresco with cooking and breakfast bar/ island cabinet of its own.
‘Stylistically, light and coastal colouring’ was the brief for the kitchen cabinetry and benchtops, with the splashback having a feature powder-turquoise mosaic tile. The cabinetry has touches of art deco styling such as curvature, scalloping details and a white and beige palette.
A real feast for the senses. This space boasts huge 3.4m ceilings and an abundance of natural light coming from the oversized windows and 3m high sliding doors. A combination of painted face brick, polished concrete, timber cladding and matt black stone and laminate complement this sleek and minimalist design.
The brief was to transform our clients' house into a functional, modern family home which included designing a kitchen and living space for a family and entertaining lifestyle.
Due to site constraints, the kitchen is narrow which meant it was important to achieve a minimal aesthetic to ensure the kitchen didn’t dominate the open-plan living space. We achieved this by using fully-integrated appliances and selecting a pared-back colour and material palette with the stone benchtops being the hero piece of the kitchen.
The kitchen opens onto a north-facing courtyard on one side and an alfresco on the other side, connecting the kitchen to the garden and create a seamless indoor-outdoor entertaining space.
Consideration was given when selecting materials for this project. Velvet fresh lacquered white slabbed fronts and texture is introduced through the fluting to the centre piece curves, as well as the warmth of the reeded chevron tiles. Oaks are introduced and soften the palette whilst allowing for an elegant interior, one that will allow memories to be made for years to come.

Sadka Lane was a development project for my client. The brief for this kitchen was classic, modern with a touch of ‘somethin, somethin’.
A busy stone has been paired back with natural look timbers and contrasted with warm subtle grey. A concave profile was used to mimic the soft curves within the architecture.

A kitchen that really includes all the design elements of the classic Hamptons style with the rustic warmth of a farmhouse aesthetic. With Smeg's striking black appliances and the iconic shaker profile doors and black hardware, we’ve created a kitchen design that blends classic charm with modern innovation.
We love designing spaces that inspire and create a classic inviting atmosphere!

The outcome was an elegant and highly functional space, which our clients love and we were proud to deliver for them.
The primary purpose of a laundry is functionality which was our main focus when designing this space. Careful consideration was applied to the placement of appliances and key fixtures such as hampers, along with hanging and tall vertical storage. This laundry connects to the scullery and intern the kitchen and so it needed to have a connection which guided our material selections. We achieved a bright, clean open space which not only performs for daily tasks, but feels wonderful to be in.
Introducing our North Beach Project: A Laundry Room That Packs a Punch – complete with a range of functional design features. This includes pull-out hampers, elevated washer and dryer, pull-down ironing board, and a custom-designed sewing zone. The room also boasts ample storage space and an aesthetic that seamlessly blends with the home's interior.
A true collaboration between client, interiors and architect has led to a successfully renovated kitchen, laundry and living space. Light, visual and physical connection and functionality has been optimised, adding to the good 'bones' of the original 30-year-old residence.

Seamlessly connected to the main interior kitchen, dining, and living area, it boasts top-of-the-line alfresco cooking appliances neatly integrated into sleek cabinets. Multiple seating options enhance both functionality and aesthetics, making it an entertainer's dream come true.
Our brief was to design an alfresco to suit the small corner, look uncluttered and include the necessary storage requirements. We achieved an alfresco which has a bright and fresh feel and ties into the Mid-century feel of the home.
The seating area features a bar and servery area, perfect for casual drinks and for setting out food and platters overlooking an infinity edge pool backing onto the canal. The BBQ zone features ample bench space, built-in BBQ with rangehood above, and a timber seating area that wraps around a feature tree. The feature tree rises up and out of the roof above to create not only an impressive greenery note in the alfresco but, also from the upper level, creating a unique link between the two levels and areas.
Red Lily was engaged to design, engineer, and build an addition (kitchen, living, dining, and alfresco) on an early 1900’s character home in Subiaco. During concept design, the team explored how to best connect the house to the established garden and existing pool. It was decided early on that an expansive deck and outdoor kitchen was the answer for this busy family of five, who love to connect over pizza nights, smoky BBQs, and evening whiskeys by the fire pit.

The brief was to design a contemporary kitchen in a Nedlands residence, home to a family of four, within the existing kitchen footprint. The kitchen design is a harmonious blend of modern practicality and nature's serenity. It serves as the heart of the home, connecting the clients to the sunlight and the outdoors. This space is not just for cooking, but for living - where mornings begin with sun-drenched coffee moments, friends congregate and families evolve. The design is intuitive, calm and welcoming, offering a laid-back sanctuary that seamlessly integrates the grounding properties of the earth.
For a family of four with two teenagers, we undertook the challenge of designing an interior in a new architecturally crafted house located in Nedlands. With a generous budget of $150,000, the design was inspired by the sophisticated hues of sunset light in the sand dunes. The elegance of line, an exquisite sense of touch and the firm & sturdy nature of the design were paramount. The style encapsulates a blend of raw simplicity, calm subtleties, steady nostalgia, and a serious commitment to quality.

The Nedlands project was a sophisticated endeavour that aimed to create a contemporary modern kitchen for a family of four - parents and young adults. With a generous budget of $150,000, the client sought a design that was not just modern but also progressive, complex, and clever in its functionality. After a series of consultations, we settled on a lux black scheme as the inspiration for the design. The result is a kitchen that is not only refined and formal but also exudes a professional aura, perfectly aligning with the client's vision.
